2010 King Pin Links Challenge

May 14, 2010
- Musket Ridge Golf Course; Myersville, Maryland

The 2nd Annual King Pin Links Challenge is in the books and once again was a huge success!

Thanks to all of those who participated and hopefully everybody had a great time. Once again, the weather held out for us as it looked dubious earlier in the week, but luckily we stayed dry and the thunderstorms didn't hit us. After shortening the tourney to 18 holes this year, I think the consensus for next year's tourney is to take it back to a 36 hole tourney since more than half of the field ended up doing a replay this year anyway!

Congrats to
Jon Jennings, Brian Cook, Mark Riebesehl, and Kyle Clement who came in first place this year with an impressive net score of 7-under par!

Also congrats goes out to
Kyle Clement for winning closest to the pin who ended up about 18 ft from the pin on a 200 yard par 3 and Rick Levitan for winning the longest drive contest!

Most importantly, thanks for helping us raise funds for a good cause. We raised almost $200 to the Medical Care for Children Partnership fund which provides healthcare for children in Fairfax County.

Final tourney standings are below:

STANDINGS:
1st place (7-under net score): Jon Jennings, Brian Cook, Mark Riebesehl, Kyle Clement
2nd place (6-under): Dave Foelsch, Mark Burke, Dion Ho
3rd place (5-under): Matt Robinson, Jason Carlton, Marc Foelsch, Eric Murphy
4th place (4-under): Zack Kovolenko, DJ Mikani, Ben Brown
5th place-tie (3-under): Peter Kolb, Jim Melvin, Doug Grills, Rick Levitan
5th place-tie (3-under): Jason Alexander, Josh Kovolenko, Matt Dezee, John Marelli

Until next year...
